19.
Boost Moderators

20.
The Boost moderators are Dave Abrahams,
21. Darin Adler, Carl Daniel, Beman Dawes, Doug Gregor, John Maddock, and Jens
22. Maurer.

23.
Moderator Functions

24.

25.
Monitor the mailing list to ensure dialog remains within the acceptable
26. boundaries set by the discussion policy.
27. When discussion strays, use private email to gently remind, strongly rebuke,
28. or outright ban, as the situation demands.

29.

30.

31.
Approve the initial postings of new (and thus still moderated) members,
32. and move members to the "Group Policy" posting status.

33.

34.

35.
Administer the internal operations of the Boost web site, the main Boost
36. mailing list, the CVS repository, and other Boost administrative machinery.

37.

38.

39.
Act as an executive committee overseeing important administrative and
40. policy decisions. Boost is a zero-budget organization with no income
41. and no expenses, so that eliminates the need for most management. Technical
42. decisions are worked out on the mailing list. The moderators handle the few
43. remaining decisions that need a definite answer.

44.

45.

46.
Beyond the purely administrative duties, work to keep the Boost community
47. vibrant and alive. That may be as simple as saying "thank you" to
48. an individual member, or as complex as starting some major new
49. initiative. Do whatever it takes!

50.
